|Summary||0005458: Merge the TWO option menus into one and redesign the merged one|
|Description||Starting with version 22.214.171.1240, SUMo has TWO top level option menus. Please merge them to one option menu. See also related feature request https://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/view.php?id=5379.|
Currently, the option menu has a single entry settings which opens a densely populated configuration window with seemingly several sections. Instead of even further adding content into a single window, these merged sections could either be split in several windows or into a tabbed window with one tab displayed at a time and one tab per section, on network, behaviour, scanning, reporting and language. SUMo Online configuration may then be merged with the network section.
Concerning the language section, I prefer this redesigned too. Currently it consists of two columns. The 2nd column is wider than the window without providing a horizontal scroll bar although a vertical scroll bar exists! Taking a closer look at the 2nd column, it looks like a merge of three to four columns. Please change the 2nd column and split it into those four columns resulting in 5 columns together. I further like to be able to change sort order, the current one remaining the default. So the columns would become the flag, the language, the country, the version, the translator. For the country, the corresponding two-letter ISO standard is in wide spread use for the 2nd token of localization. Why not use it also here in SUMo? I'm interested to be able to sort by translator or version. Other users might be interested to sort by country for a given language, especially English.
