Re: Why so many SUMo updates?

Hey guys, I'm not affiliated with KC Softwares, just a (partially satisfied) user of some of its products... More and more organizations changed resp. change their development process to become agile with the consequence of more often releases allowing shorter reaction times and quicker user feed ba...

Why does SUMo check versions one at a time?

There's something about SUMo I've always wondered about: When you click "Scan", SUMo scans your PC and creates a list of your installed apps and their versions. When you click "Check", SUMo goes online and compares this list against the current version info—but it does this one app at a time (about ...

Why so many SUMo updates?

Sorry if this has already been asked... I looked, but didn't see anything similar. As far as I understand, SUMo it scans your PC for installed software, checks it against an online version database (one maintained by KC Softwares, or otherwise?), then shows the results. But when I run SUMo, it often...

Suggestion: Check for SUMO update first?

I've noticed that when I run SUMO, it scans for my installed apps, arranges the list, goes online, and then checks to see if there's a SUMO update. Since I run it only about once a month, a new SUMO version is usually available; so rather than continuing with the old version, I exit and get the new ...

Re: Suggestion: "Done!" window

Oh, and what about my suggestion to make the window resizable rather than fixed, so the data isn't cut off?

Re: Suggestion: "Done!" window

Hmm, that's odd—I just posted a reply to this, but it doesn't appear here. Do you need to approve every post on the forum? You must not have much spare time left...

Re: Suggestion: "Done!" window

Hi Kyle, Thank you for your comments... This windows means that the files can't be loaded : they do NOT contain version info or product name,... Yes, and my post should've indicated that I understood that. But I'm a developer, and I'm used to working with these processes. The biggest challenge of GU...

Suggestion: "Done!" window

Hi, Thanks for SUMo; it's great. After scanning for installed apps, SUMo shows a "Done!" window that says "Unable to load the following files". Two things about that: • Doesn't it actually mean SUMo couldn't find references to those apps in your database? If so, wouldn't it be clearer to say somethi...
