Re: Zer0 log file, clearing

Hello, Very nice catch !! Would you please fill a feature suggestion request here : http://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs ? I'll have this implemented asap. Cool. I've created new, similar feature requests for both Zer0 and KCleaner , since a quick test suggests that KCleaner also clears its own log at s...

Re: MS Windows 7 file restriction & Zer0

I'd suggest to use drag'n'drop onto Zer0 instead. Indeed, Kyle, that's an excellent clarification. Drag'n'drop works as expected from folders or from WinExplorer "search" results. The right-click access is mainly useful to get Zer0 open the first time. So 2 alternative "workaround" workflows given ...

Zer0 log file, clearing

A quick check suggests that Zer0 clears its own log file upon *opening* rather than of *closing*. Meaning that between uses, the log file retains a list of recently Zer0ed files, which seems sort of contrary to the concept of Zer0 deletion. So a few queries: 1. is that right? 2. MS Windows 7 file restriction & Zer0

Part 1: So, some confusion resulting from this Win 7 design feature: Context menus are shortened when more than 15 files are selected Following that MS knowledge article: 1. I first set MultipleInvokePromptMinimum to 16 (unlimited). But while this allows me unrestricted right-click menus, the menus ...

What does this mean: "Trim Files Before Deletion" ?

This is one of the Data Security settings, but I can't fine an explanation of what this means:

[ ] "Trim file before deletion"

Does this do something like replace a file with a zero-byte version prior to name scrambling, etc.?

From the downloads page, it seems that only the full version and not the "lite" version is updated for release 0.11.0.12. The lite version today is still 0.10.1.11.

Re: About Zer0

First, to request a "read-only" check, and do not proceed with such files. Currently, ZerO renames, but does not actually delete, and reports "Failed", but by now that files are all renamed without extension (which may actually reveal some of the secure deletion logic?). Second, I'd be curious to kn...
