Re: Beta Versions / Undue notifications
sumo shows that RStudio has an available version 1.2.1522.0.
The latest release available through the website and their github is 1.2.1335 that was released in March.

Re: Beta Versions / Undue notifications
SUMo reports the program Sizer current in version 4.0.0.570. But the author cuurently claims that version 3.34 as current. (Yeah, 3.34 is the product version although file version is reported as 3.3.4.)
According to the author, there exist previews of version 4.0 although version 4.0 is not yet released. So how may SUMo report any version 4.x of Sizer as current instead of beta?
See http://www.brianapps.net/sizer/ for further details.

Re: Beta Versions / Undue notifications
SUMo reports program ILSpy current in version 5.0.0.4793. But the publishers claim version 4.0.1 as current, having only previews of version 5.0 made available, no final release yet!
So why does SUMo server declare these previews as current instead of beta?
See https://github.com/icsharpcode/ILSpy/tags and the screenshots. Please fix beta (and current) flags.

Re: Beta Versions / Undue notifications
No. I disagree. It's not fixed. SUMo server has chosen a different beta resp. preview as current instead of beta. No new beta software has been released since yesterday. There are still these three beta previews and no new release as shown in the other screenshot of the open source download site. EVERY version 5.x is still a preview. Nevertheless SUMo server has chosen different preview today as current and not as beta! Now it reports version 5.0.0.4861 as CURRENT instead of BETA!

What's going on with SUMo reporting on Torch?
I've "installed" a portable version of Torch. SUMo detects and reports version 65.0.0.1617 and claims an existing update to version 69.0.0.1674. I searched in the Internet if such an update exists. And the publishers don't have such an update of the portable version. As far as I've found, they indeed released an update to that version for their non-portable installable edition and did not release yet their portable edition remaining at version 65.0.0.1617. It seems that there exists a hacked russian portable edition of version 69.0.0.1674 though which I don't consider a release.
So does this mean that this is undue update reporting due to some too radical optimizations in SUMo?
I think so, as an unintended side effect. Then there'll be no fix before a redesign of SUMo. And in that case I recommend such a redesign only after implementing the hierarchical reporting already requested.
