v. 1.13.1.22 portable Can only run against C:

Post by wacojohn »

"Choose from multiple drives installed in your system"

http://dottech.org/133295/windows-revie ... t-program/

Not on my copy. Running on a W8.1-64 machine, ... but it only scans C:.
Clicked all over the place ... upper left corner in particular .. on the
General 'drive' icon ... but only C: presents.
Cannot select any other drive. I have other drives ... one USB connected directly to USB port and others USB connected to computer on a USB hub.

Any ideas/comments??? Thank you in advance.

Thanks !

The error is due to the "single" free fall event detected by your disk.

Regarding disks not detected, we have a bug identified on this, under investigation.

Thank you. Will have to research the error. I have no idea what that answer means. A known bug is an acceptable explanation. Thank you again.

Is this still a problem one year later? I am using the latest version 1.14.1.28 and it won't show or access my external Seagate 2TB Desktop drive.

Regards,
Peter.

Hi Peter,

how is that external drive attached physically to which bus (i.e. USB, eSATA, SCSI, Ethernet, ...)?

And does Windows recognize it as removable media or as attached disk?

Hi scheff,

It was attached to USB2 on my laptop at the time, although it spent most of its days permanently connected to an SBC for backups. Windows uses it just fine.

Due to us moving I can't get to it until at least August, so I can answer only questions from memory.

Kind regards,
Peter.
